She attended the University of Florence and then graduated from University of Rome La Sapienza with a Master Degree in Clinical and Community Psychology.
After one year of internship in mental health services in Rome, she went back in Florence where she attended the “Istituto di TerapiaFamiliare di Firenze”and specialized in Systemic-Relational Psychotherapy.
During the four years of training at the Istituto di TerapiaFamiliare she has been working in mental health services with teenagers, families as well as oncologic patients at the Hospital of Santa Maria Annunziata, near Florence.
She then specialized in “Management and processing of loss and grief” at the Florentine Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
In her private practice, she works with teenagers and adults in individual psychotherapy, or with couples and families.
Through counselling and psychotherapy Dr. Vernice works with her patients on their wellbeing and mental health, helping them dealing and recovering from anxiety, depression, relational/interpersonal issues, personality disorders (such as BPD, NPD etc.), trauma (i.e. PTSD, CPTSD, etc.), loss and grief.
She has always been passionate about literature, cinema, music and photography, “languages” that sheapplies also working with her patients.
